Thank you for choosing The Green Chair Project to donate your items! We currently only offer FREE FIRST FLOOR/GARAGE PICKUP SERVICE for residents living in our service area of Wake County only. We can provide free pick up service if you have at least two (2) of our needed core essential items to donate including: sofas, loveseats, dinning chairs and dining tables (no larger than 8 seats), dressers, large upholstered chairs, bookcases (5 feet or less), coffee tables, end tables, night stands, rocking chairs, side chairs, side tables, sofa tables, ottomans and lamps. We will also pick up new or gently used working household items if you meet the two (2) essential item criteria. Household items include: dishware, coffee pots, crock pots, toaster ovens, microwaves, pots and pans, kitchen utensils, framed artwork and linens. Please have your essential items boxed/bagged and sealed prior to pick up.

At this time we do not accept sleeper sofas, armoires, and china cabinets, beds of any kind, headboards, bed frames or TVs/electronics.

**Please Note - We can only pick up items in apartment/condos and office buildings that have an elevator available for use in the move.

First floor pickups are free of charge. Please see below for pickup exceptions we will make for a $50 prepaid fee:
     Pickups from apartment complex or high-rise building
     Pickups that require paid street parking
     Pickups that require elevator or stair access to basement or second floor (no third floor or above pickups)

Please click on CORE ESSENTIAL ITEMS and select at least (2) CORE ESSENTIAL items to donate, to qualify for pickup service. We can only pick up large items that will not fit into a pickup truck or SUV. Other items can be dropped off at The Green Chair Project donation entrance located at 1853 Capital Boulevard in Raleigh. Acceptance of any item is subject to driver's discretion; our drivers are well-trained in what we will accept for donation.
